Run, breathe, drink well: our run during Milan Design Week

23 April 2026

On the morning of April 23, Milan had a different rhythm. The slow, focused pace of the first steps before a run, when the city is still suspended and everything feels possible. During Milan Design Week, 3TEMP chose to experience this moment by taking over a newly opened space: La Bruma, a new bakery that became, for one day, the starting point of a special run.

It wasn’t just about running. It was a way to connect worlds we have always felt closely linked: running, community, and filter coffee as a functional, clean, natural beverage. Healthy, first and foremost. A meeting point between movement, taste, and freedom of choice.

A community running in the same direction

The run was organised by Optimistic Runners, sportswear brand,  and Steam Runners, a crews that perfectly represents an idea of urban, conscious and shared movement. Meeting in front of La Bruma at dawn immediately created a sense of real connection: different people, the same attitude, the same desire to move.

We ran through the city at an accessible pace, without chronometers or pressure. Just the rhythm of the group, synchronized breathing and that feeling of being part of something bigger than a single workout. As in the 3TEMP philosophy, there is no single right path, there are many travel companions and infinite directions to explore together. Once again, running proved to be the perfect language for creating authentic connections.

Filter coffee as a functional gesture

For us at 3TEMP, the link between running and filter coffee is natural. Not as a simple ritual, but as a functional choice: a beverage that supports the body without weighing it down, that stimulates without forcing, and that fits perfectly into an active and conscious lifestyle.

Throughout the run, this concept was always present. Coffee was not the goal, but the completion of the experience. An element that closed the circle, from movement to recovery, leaving room for different interpretations: lighter, bolder, personal. Infinite tasting possibilities, one cup at a time.

Back at La Bruma: breakfast and sharing

At the end of the route, we returned to La Bruma, which for the occasion became a vibrant space filled with energy and conversation. Waiting for us was breakfast by La Bruma and 3TEMP: a simple yet central moment, designed to be together and take the time to listen to post-run sensations.

Inside the bakery, our filter coffee system became an integral part of the experience. Not a demonstration, but a real, everyday use within an authentic context. A concrete opportunity to see the machine in action, to taste different beverages, and to understand how design can respond to real needs without ever losing sight of aesthetics.

Design Week, but with the body in motion

Bringing 3TEMP into Milan Design Week in this way had a precise meaning. Design is not just about observing, it’s about living. It’s the relationship between objects, people and gestures. It’s lifestyle, contemporary culture, awareness and freedom of choice.

That morning, we told all of this without needing words. Running together, drinking together, sharing the same space and time. This is how we imagine the future of coffee: functional, healthy, well-designed, but above all connected to people and their rhythms.

And as Milan slowly returned to its usual noise, La Bruma remained the fixed point of a special morning, made of steps, breaths, and a great filter coffee held in our hands. A starting point from which to keep exploring new paths, new encounters and infinite possibilities.
